A New York City MTA bus and a double-decker tour bus crashed at a busy intersection in the city last night around 7:00pm. At least 80 people were injured and at least 18 people were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Sources told Eyewitness News that the MTA bus had the right of way at the intersection, but the tour bus sailed through a red light and t-boned the other bus. The accident occurred at the busy intersection of 223rd and 1st Avenue.
Both buses were near capacity and it’s suspected more people are injured and were being evaluated when this report went live.
