Dr. Amir Sitafalwalla Arrested a Second Time for Groping A Male Patient

A few months after being arrested for fondling a male patient, Dr. Amir Sitafalwalla has been arrested again for fondling another male patient. After his first arrest, Sitafalwalla was released without bail. This time law enforcement authorities are trying to determine if there are more victims. Sitafalwalla was ordered held on $10,000 bail, which he posted, according to prosecutors and online records. The latest incident occurred on August 14, 2024 at Modern MD in Woodhaven. In a similar incident on Jan. 19, 2023 at the same practice, Sitafalwalla allegedly targeted a 25-year-old male patient who was visiting for a COVID-19 test, according to a criminal complaint.

Sitafalwalla rubbed the patient’s inner thigh before groping the victim’s genitalia, according to court documents. In addition to fondling the patient, Sitafalwalla made sexually inappropriate comments about the patient’s genitalia.

Dr. Amir Sitafalwalla is an emergency medicine physician in Brooklyn, New York. He received his medical degree from J.J.M. Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He works in Valley Stream, NY and 2 other locations and specializes in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Dr. Sitafalwalla is affiliated with Long Island Community Hospital.
